The Problem

We attended site the week before to service Nigel’s Rational 61 Electric and discussed the new Connected Cooking Software Rational had recently released. We explained that all Nigel needed to do was install an ethernet cable directly from his router to an ethernet socket within a meter of his oven and we would do the rest.

The Solution

A few days later we got the call from Nigel saying he had met his requirements, downloaded the ConnectedCooking app and he was ready to get connected. We attended site not long after to do our bit. We had a few initial teething problems, but not long after Nigel was able interact with his oven through the ConnectedCooking app on his iPhone. This now means that Nigel can monitor and adjust his oven remotely while tending to all the other responsibilities that come with being a hotelier.

During the setting up process we were informed that we were one of the UK’s first installations of Connected Cooking software and Nigel was even retweeted by Rational AG when posting about his new gadget.
